Wildswim: One of Gloucestershire's hidden gems, with colourful and exotic murals of sandy beaches, palm trees and dolphins (just underneath the barbed wire on top of the pool walls). Run by volunteers who saved it from closure in 2003. Unheated, 41m x 17m, deep in the countryside just two miles from the River Severn.

Welcome to Bathurst Pool
Given as a present to the 'inhabitants of Lydney and Aylburton' by the Bathurst family in 1920, Bathurst Swimming Pool in Lydney is considered to be one of Gloucestershire's best kept secrets.
This 38 metre outdoor pool in the Forest of Dean is run by volunteers and open for at least ten weeks during the summer each year. Costing £3 for adults and £1.50 for children. Weather permitting the pool is open from May 2015 daily 12 noon until 6pm.
ARE YOU A SERIOUS SWIMMER?
Why not join our serious swim club?. For £35 membership you will be able to swim from 10am until 12 noon and from 6pm until 7pm every day during the season - whatever the weather! This is open to experienced swimmers. Length swimming only. For £50 you can swim any time between 10am-7pm during season (weather permitting).
Local volunteers always welcome.
