Kate Rew: A beautiful remote swim along the Pembrokeshire coast and into a sea cave, this swim offers a tick-list of things to love: underwater seascapes, cliff birds, rocks to explore.. and the adventure/ fascinated horror of swimming into a sea cave. When the sky is clear blue in Pembrokeshire the water often is too; that and the beaches, coves make it one of my favourite coastal areas for swimming. We found this when I was 5 months pregnant which I use as an excuse of having very little memory of the logistics re tides etc - what I do recall is that the sea was calm, we took flippers as we had no idea of the currents and I wanted extra power if needed, and that I did need it, as a small cave became huge on the way into the cave.
