Really easy beach entry by roadside park bench. Longish shallow walk out but lovely views of surrounding hills once going.

Brownish water (what else would you expect in the Peak District) slightly choppy in very squally westerly wind but enjoyed being the the rain that was bouncing a foot off the lake. Also had swallows and great crested grebe for company.

Site shared with sailing club who I hear are less keen on swimmers, but entry point is just south of southerly most point of their buoyed course.
