Series of small plunge pools with waterfalls on the Cowsic just before it meets the West Dart. A beautiful hidden place. The shallow, wooded valley is accessed from the Beardown Farm footpath. Park in the quarry CP opposite the Two Bridges Hotel, and walk back across the road bridge over the West Dart. You will find the entrance to the footpath on the right just over the bridge. Follow it into the woods and take the track upstream along the Cowsic river. You will have to scramble down, but it's a short distance and not too steep. Good for older children.
