Crooklets Christmas Day Dip - amazing event with 600+ plus dippers. No real chance to 'swim' (maybe the odd bit of breaststroke) but to be recommended nonetheless.

The obvious hazards for a west-facing Atlantic surf beach (rips, undertows, swell etc etc) plus as this is with reference to the Xmas Day dip - it's cold! the swim is in a roped off area with enough water safety to reduce the risks.
