Tidal Pools

Many of the local octogenarians learnt to swim at this pool at the end of Durnford St, Stonehouse. It's an elegant shallow pool with a faded lemon base and ribbons of seaweed wrapped around a rusted handrail.

A great place for paddling children, and early morning insomniacs, who can swim here in peace with tankers in view as they move in and out of the naval base at Plymouth Hoe.
