Description by Kate Rew who added this swim

Tenby Boxing Day Swim started in 1970 and has snowballed into Tenby’s main Christmas attraction, attracting around 600 swimmers - all swimming for charity - and thousands of onlookers each year, whatever the weather.  A roaring bonfire greets the emerging swimmers and every one receives a medal for their bravery.  As the swim has gone from strength to strength each year, the event has grown with canoes, raft racing and much more before the great immersion at 11.30am.

Love swimming in Tenby. What is nice is the range of people who use the water - serious triathletes in their wetsuits, young families, the odd OSS swim hat heading off around the corner for a few km swim. The day we went it was as still as a mill pond, and warm having been heated by the sun for a few weeks. A great place to swim.
