A secret, spring-fed quarry lake, out on the open moors but hidden in a small grassy amphitheatre. Flat rock ledges for jumping.

From the Hurlers car park (in Minions) follow the vehicle track which heads N onto the moor, past the stone circle. After 15 mins bear L at the junction and continue another ½ mile to find the quarry.

Great jumps but take care.

about 15 mins over the moor from the hurlers. Very deep but clear at the top. Few fish but nothing else. Good for high jumping if you dare. Granite boulders at the edge but easy access from several parts.

about 12 people there on 17.7.13 but still room to swim, dive and jump. Wonderful hot spell so the water was really pleasant.
