This is where swimming began for me as a kid, I learned to swim in a pool but as soon as I could do a width we came down here as a family to while away the summer exploring the pools and mountains. At Green Pool (as I know it) you can jump off the rocks next to a high gauge into the pool below, or if you are feeling particularly adventurous you can gingerly swim up the gauge (there are hidden rocks so be careful!) and splash around beneath the waterfall. I would also suggest a trip here in winter to see the amazing 6ft icicles that form when it gets cold enough!

Be aware it's a fair scramble down a hillside and through a bog to get to, and if there has been heavy rain the currents can be very strong.
