Be sure to make a visit during the festive period and take advantage of the winter heating opening hours. For further details visit http://www.hathersageswimmingpool.co.uk/events/

Description by Stephen Daniels who added this swim

Visited by Roger Deakin in 1996 and revisited in spring 2014 by Joe Minihane for his book Floating: A Life Regained.

Bare in mind the Summer Timetable is biased towards locals with a swimming pass and the small pool can become tremendously busy. On the other hand in April with snow on the surrounding hills there may not be much competition! @013 opening 23rd March to 28th September. 28 Celsius/82 Fahrenheit may be too warm for some.

I'm not local and have found the timetable to be readily accessible. This is a beautiful and friendly pool, well worth a visit. They have live bands play in the band stand, and going back to swim to music is high on my to do list.

Heated season now extended to the end of October, with temperature gradually decreasing to become unheated through December.

    Great cafe under the pool!
