Description by Kate Rew who added this swim

One of my new favourite swims ever! The route to the OSS Hurly Burly 10k starts here, at Penmaenpool, and finishes on Barmouth beach.

It's a very tricky and potentially dangerous swim to attempt on your own unless you have done thorough reconnaissance of the estuary and know it's risk factors inside out and back to front, in all weathers.

But it's a wonderful swim if you can join us at the event, where the complicating factors of the bore-like tide, shallow estuary and bridge are considered for you.
