Several access points on the north side of the loch from B829 beyond Aberfoyle or on the south side from the forest trails. Stunning views down the loch and water can often be mirror-calm. Enjoy exploring the inlets and islands, including the remains of the Duke of Murdoch's Castle (just a few walls remaining but lovely picnic spot). If you head east towards Milton beware it can be very reedy beyond The Narrows.
