From Aberfoyle, park in wide gateway/layby before Stronachlachar junction and follow track down to the loch. There are stunning views swimming down the loch to views of the hills on the west side of Loch Lomond. Entry is a bit stony but water soon deepens. This is a reservoir, so take care not to swim too close to the Aquaduct Intake. The Pier at Stronachlachar is very handy for post-swim coffee, soup and cake.

This is a crowd-sourced map. Abilities vary, and conditions change. Always assess risks for yourself before getting in.

This is a reservoir (part of Loch Katrine complex) so do not swim too close to Aquaduct Intake.
