Turquoise water. No skin or eye complaints after and I do swim with my eyes open, so presumably the water pH is ok which can be a concern in some quarries. People go cliff jumping here. Soft clay-sludge underfoot so nicest to just get in and swim and avoid the bottom really. Definitely worth a visit. An interesting place but doubt it'll become a regular spot of mine. Was used a by a youth motorcycle club until recently. A Google search shows plans to develop the site for tourism or similar.
