50m pool (maybe a bit less as one end now has decking over it) with a stark loneliness and beauty. Heated by self-running geothermal water a sign warns bathers it might be too hot – it was the day we visited.

It’s surrounded by a wooden fence with a sun-platform and benches to sit on underneath the water.

Next to a campsite and Reykjanes Hotel, with a few swings for children (these are rare in playgrounds, and yet here they stand alone!).

There needs to be a new category for Icelandic Pools and hot pots - suitable for a soak.

This is a crowd-sourced map. Abilities vary, and conditions change. Always assess risks for yourself before getting in.

May be too hot.
