Silvery grey sand and shallow. Great for a bit of a dip or a longer swim north around the rocks. Kids love it here and lots of crabs if you've got your goggles on. There's parking just by the slipway and dinosaur footprints if the tide is out. You can swim or to Staffin island but I would only recommend for strong confident swimmers as it's very weedy and rocky at the far side, and the current can be strong in the middle between the beach and the island. No current on the beach though.
