River

About 150 yards downstream from the very popular swim spot which is Stainforth Foss is this relatively quiet and deep pool. Rock ledges at the side for changing and jumping off, and about a 40 yard length of good swimming depth.

Parking nearby is VERY limited so the best option is to park in Stainforth village (pay and display or some on street) and then walk about 100 yards along the main road away from Settle, before turning left down a narrow lane. Walk down the lane to an old packhorse bridge and from there follow the riverside footpath downstream past the Foss. The banking down to the rocks is steep and can be slippy. A 10 minute walk.
