This spot is not actually Thurlestone. But it is technically in the same area. The spot on the map is very accurate. Housed between Bantham and Thurlestone in Bigbury Bay. This spot is known locally as Broad Sand Cove. It is quite popular with families and there are good rock pools to explore. The sea in this section is a must to swim in. It is also quite popular with those who enjoy skinny dipping. There is a steep path that leads down into the cove. It is no good for those who are not able bodied or unable to negotiate the steep path going down or upward. Many people have used it, but I must let you know in case you visit and might have any difficulties.

This is a crowd-sourced map. Abilities vary, and conditions change. Always assess risks for yourself before getting in.

The sea is normally calm in this area. I have highlighted the hazards just in case. I have not yet found any problems swimming here in the hot summer sun.
