In 2015, Weirwood was open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4.30pm-7.30pm, early May to end of September. It became a NOWCA venue in 2015 and you have to join £8 which includes a swim, then it was £5 a swim each time you swim. You are given a NOWCA band which electronically clocks you in and out of the water and you can have your distance swum emailed to you if you wish. All swimming abilities can attend, including children who are able to swim (accompanied by an adult). There are changing rooms and hot showers. It is a very friendly venue run by Marcus and Aldo, and they held a 4km charity swim in October 2015 to raise funds for Young Epilepsy for a Wheelyboat. I think they plan to make this an annual event.
